Due to our continued growth within our Viral Vector Services (VVS) Business we have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic part qualified Accountant to join our team based in Seneffe, Belgium.

If you have a passion for financial accuracy and timely reporting across a global, multi-faceted organization, the VVS Accounting is the team for you. With a keen understanding of laws, regulations and compliance as well as reporting requirements consistent with USGAAP, this team uses innovative financial systems and controls, data security and robust processes to protect the company’s assets and support its short- and long-term growth on a global scale. From technical internal and external audit teams as well as key business partners to drive sophisticated business decisions.What you will do:
Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of monthly close activities
Prepare accounting entries
Evaluate entries for completeness and accuracy
Review general ledger activity, researching and correcting account discrepancies
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, including general ledger accounts and sub ledger accounts
Research and resolve any reconciling items on a monthly basis
Perform variance analysis including current-to-prior month/quarter/year fluctuations
Management reporting to Corporate through Hyperion
Coordinating accounting entries with other departments and accounting system modules
Who we are looking for:
Experience of month end reporting, statutory accounts, management accounting & balance sheet reconciliations
Experience within an audit role would be advantageous
Highly motivated and detail oriented individual with excellent communication, computer and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise and follow through in a fast-paced, multitask environment
Fully proficient in MS Excel
A working knowledge of ERPs (E1 or SAP) would is desirable - but not essential
Spoken language: French is a must. English is desirable.
